The Sets of Irons represent "today" research continued since many years around the human body. With a certain medical glance, it is the idea of the body which goes to be treated in a freedom of interpretation obeying only with its own rules of play, defined progressively by a series of successive discoveries. A given part of the body will be studied, drawn, analyzed, to come out from it the gasoline which will be translated by the construction of a machine moving. This work is "drawing". It was built in the observation of errors, making it possible to constitute a principle of research in a precise way.

Machines rather than sculptures…
Being given that we are in the experimental one, the unforeseen one becomes a determining matter of work. The passage to the constituent act to realise the object, it often arrives that, in spite of the care taken to the precision of the sketch, certain links are made badly with reality, removing with the project the possibility of being: mechanics respects a series of laws and takes its final form by "obedience" with nature with the modifications that that supposes contrary to the sculpture which can answer the pure creative desire. The machine will take its own autonomy, finally leaving the creator external with part of its evolution.

Since 1986, Olivier Tarabo devotes himself to the creation of these machines.Ces "instruments" can break up into four families:
Instruments with water, instruments suspended, anatomical instruments, electric instruments.

Each one of these groups currently represents ten inventions which are presented at the public in the form of performances.
