The "Dance de la Terre" was born from a small performance in which I asked a model to overlap with clay. The motivation first was to carry out a video on the drawings left by the ground on the skin. The position "with knee" comes because of bringing to the level ground to dig it. The ropes in the mouth symbolize the passage of the ground of outside towards the interior of the body: Lowerings and vomiting.

By viewing it video that I had just filmed, I decide to keep of them only some short extracts chosen for the effectiveness of the gestures of the model. I eliminated all the gestures which resembled each other too much to finish with four sequences of a few seconds. I learned these gestures with the model so that it reproduce them in a very exact way.

These gestures have summers learned with a second model so that they carry out them side by side to gear down and accentuate the repetitive principle. Dice at the time of the problems of synchronization appeared and I decided to pose these movements in ones rhythmic structure in 6 times to avoid the over-simplification of binary which quickly becomes unpleasant in repeated gestures.

The dancers are placed today by couple and they have of liquid clay and powder clay in their vats in order to better visualize the way of the ground. In the concerts of Rosa-Crvx, the dance of the Earth is accompanied by the composition "Eli-Elo" based on a structure into 3/4 and, on the level of the words, on a series of four sentences repeated in loop.
